Premium Cigars in Dubai: Habana, Black and Don Tito by Chazaro
Cigars by Chazaro are handcrafted premium cigars made from Negro de San Andrés tobacco, grown in the volcanic soil of Veracruz, Mexico, fermented for 36 months and aged 14 months after rolling. Three cigars. Four curated collections. Delivered to your door across Dubai and the UAE.
Every cigar shop in Dubai stocks five hundred labels. We make three.
That is not a limitation. It is a decision.
Since 1977, the Chazaro family has grown, harvested, fermented and rolled one thing: cigars from Negro de San Andrés tobacco, cultivated in the volcanic highlands of San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz. The same region. The same varietal. The same obsession, carried across two generations and nearly five decades.
Most cigar brands available in Dubai are assembled from tobacco sourced across multiple countries by multiple suppliers and distributed through the same wholesale networks that supply every retailer from the Marina to Downtown. The labels are different. The shelves are identical.
Chazaro is not on those shelves.
We are a single-origin cigar house. We grow our tobacco. We ferment it ourselves, for a minimum of 36 months, in a slow, controlled process that eliminates bitterness and develops a layered depth that shortcuts cannot reproduce. After rolling, each cigar rests for another 14 months before it leaves our facility. From seed to smoke, a Chazaro cigar represents nearly five years of patience.
If you have spent your cigar life inside Cuban and Dominican selections and are looking for the next thing your palate has not yet encountered, this is where it begins.
Three Cigars. No Catalogue. No Filler.
We do not stock hundreds of SKUs because we do not need to. Each of our three cigars expresses a different register of what Negro de San Andrés tobacco is capable of when given the time and craft it requires.
Habana
The cigar we hand to someone who asks what Chazaro is about.
Medium bodied. A creamy, rounded opening that settles into cedar, roasted almond and a quiet sweetness at the back of the palate. The Habana is composed, unhurried and generous with its flavour across the full smoke. It is the cigar for your first Chazaro experience, and it is the cigar many of our collectors return to more often than any other.
Tasting notes: Cream, cedar, roasted almond, light cocoa, a clean finish with no bitterness. Character: Approachable. Balanced. The cigar that earns trust on the first light. Pairs with: Arabic qahwa with cardamom. A medium roast espresso. A fino sherry. Sparkling water with lime between draws.
Black
Where the San Andrés wrapper shows what it can do when given room.
Fuller bodied than the Habana, the Black opens with roasted espresso and dark chocolate, then develops a mineral backbone halfway through that experienced smokers will recognise as the signature of volcanic terroir. There is black pepper on the retrohale and a natural sweetness that holds everything in tension without tipping into harshness. This is a cigar for someone who knows what they like and wants more of it.
Tasting notes: Dark chocolate, espresso, black pepper, earth, mineral, a long finish with leather and sweet tobacco. Character: Assertive. Complex. The cigar that separates curiosity from commitment. Pairs with: A peated single malt (Laphroaig 10, Ardbeg Uigeadal). An aged Armagnac. 70% dark chocolate. Strong Turkish coffee.
Don Tito Edición Limitada
The cigar we make in the smallest quantities. Named for the family patriarch.
Don Tito is the fullest expression of what 36 months of fermentation and 14 months of post-roll ageing produce when applied to our finest leaf selection. The blend is denser, the transitions are slower, the retrohale carries more information. This is not a cigar you smoke quickly. It asks you to pay attention. Every third of the cigar delivers a different conversation: the opening is dark fruit and leather, the middle is mineral and cedar, and the final third is a slow, layered crescendo of espresso, pepper and an unexpected sweetness that has no business appearing in a cigar this full.
Don Tito is not always available. When it is, it does not stay long.
Tasting notes: Dark fruit, leather, mineral, cedar, espresso, black pepper, sweet tobacco on a long finish. Character: The cigar Chazaro was built around. Our most limited, our most considered, our most personal. Pairs with: A 15+ year single malt (Glenfarclas 21, Balvenie 17 Doublewood). Aged rum (Zacapa 23). A 1990s Armagnac. Or nothing at all. Don Tito does not need a pairing. It is the pairing.
The Chazaro Collections: Curated for Gifting, Built for Discovery
Every collection is presented in Chazaro's signature packaging. Each is designed around a specific experience: introduction, exploration, immersion or indulgence. These are not bundles assembled for volume. They are progressions through a single tobacco tradition.
Prelude | AED 300
1 Habana · 1 Black
The introduction. Two cigars from the same soil, separated by body and intensity. Prelude answers a simple question: do you prefer the composed warmth of Habana, or the assertive depth of Black? It is the collection for someone encountering Chazaro for the first time, and the one most often sent as a considered gift between professionals.
Best for: A first meeting with the brand. A gift that invites a conversation. An evening for two.
Trilogía | AED 600
1 Habana · 1 Black · 1 Don Tito Edición Limitada
The full vocabulary. One cigar from each expression, presented together for the first time in a single sitting or across three separate occasions. Trilogía is the collection collectors choose when they want to understand the complete range of what Negro de San Andrés delivers across different blends and intensities. It is also the collection most requested for intimate corporate dinners and private events.
Best for: The collector who wants the complete picture. A host planning a private cigar tasting. A gift for someone who has smoked everything else.
Selección | AED 900
2 Habana · 2 Black · 1 Don Tito Edición Limitada
For the person who already knows which Chazaro they prefer, but wants enough to share. Selección is our most popular collection for small gatherings, business entertaining and occasions where four or five people will smoke together. The doubled Habana and Black allow for pairing experiments across the evening while the Don Tito anchors the experience for the host or the guest of honour.
Best for: A dinner party. A business evening. An anniversary. A gift that fills a humidor for a week.
Reserva | AED 1,750
4 Habana · 4 Black · 2 Don Tito Edición Limitada
Ten cigars. The deepest expression of the Chazaro collection in a single presentation.
Reserva is not purchased casually. It is the collection chosen by collectors building a serious humidor, by companies making a statement to a high-value client, and by hosts preparing for an evening where every cigar smoked will be remembered. With four Habana, four Black and two Don Tito, Reserva offers enough variety to supply a private tasting for ten guests or a personal collection that lasts a month.
Best for: A serious collector. A CEO-level gift. A private tasting event. A wedding weekend. The person who has decided that Chazaro is their cigar, and wants to live inside it for a while.

Cigar Concierge Dubai: Personal Selection, Expert Guidance
Not everyone who wants a Chazaro cigar knows which one to start with. Not everyone who wants to send a gift knows the recipient's palate. That is what the concierge exists for.
How it works.
You tell us four things: your experience level (or the recipient's), your strength preference, the occasion, and whether you plan to pair the cigar with anything. We recommend the right cigar and the right collection. If you are unsure about any of those four things, that is useful information too. We will work from there.
This is not a recommendation algorithm. It is a conversation with someone who has spent years inside this tobacco.
The concierge is for:
First-time buyers who want guidance without pretension. Collectors looking for the right Chazaro to add to a rotation. Hosts planning a private tasting and wanting the right sequence (we recommend Habana first, Black second, Don Tito to close). Gift buyers who know the occasion but not the palate. Corporate clients building a recurring gifting programme.

What Is Negro de San Andrés Tobacco?
Negro de San Andrés is a dark, oily wrapper leaf grown in the volcanic highlands of San Andrés Tuxtla, in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. The region's mineral-rich volcanic soil, combined with a tropical microclimate of consistent humidity and temperature, produces a leaf with qualities no other tobacco region replicates: a natural sweetness, a dark chocolate character and a depth that develops further the longer the tobacco is allowed to ferment.
Chazaro uses this varietal exclusively for its wrapper leaf. Our plants are harvested cyclically, rotating sections of the field in sequence to allow the soil to recover its mineral composition between crops. This is the method the region's growers have used for generations. It is slower. It produces less per acre. It yields more per leaf.
After harvest, the leaves undergo a minimum of 36 months of controlled fermentation. This is where the bitterness common in younger tobacco is broken down and the complex flavour profile, the layered transitions between notes, the long finish, develops. After rolling by hand in small batches, each cigar rests for a further 14 months before release.
The full cycle from seed to smoke: nearly five years.
This is not a detail we share to impress. It is the reason Chazaro tastes the way it does. There is no shortcut that produces the same result.
How to Choose the Right Cigar in Dubai
If you are new to cigars
Start with the Habana. Its creamy, medium-bodied profile is approachable without being simple. Pair it with Arabic qahwa or a clean espresso. If you enjoy it, the Prelude collection (AED 300) lets you compare Habana and Black side by side and discover your own preference.
If you smoke regularly and know your palate
The Black will meet you where you are. It has the body and complexity that experienced palates look for, with a mineral character that distinguishes it from the Caribbean tobaccos you may already know. If you want to explore the full range, the Trilogía (AED 600) gives you all three expressions in one sitting.
If you are a collector or serious enthusiast
Don Tito Edición Limitada. This is the cigar that tests what your palate can read. The transitions are slower, the layers are denser, and the finish is the longest of the three. It rewards attention and does not forgive distraction. When Don Tito is available, the Selección (AED 900) or Reserva (AED 1,750) are the most considered ways to acquire it alongside its siblings.
Cigar Pairing in the UAE: Whisky, Arabic Coffee, Spirits and Beyond
Habana + Arabic Qahwa
The Habana's cocoa sweetness and the cardamom spice of traditional qahwa create a pairing rooted in Gulf hospitality. This is not borrowed from European cigar culture. It belongs here.
Black + Peated Single Malt
The San Andrés wrapper absorbs peat smoke without being overwhelmed. Laphroaig 10 or Ardbeg Uigeadal with a Black produces a savoury, layered complexity that neither element delivers alone.
Don Tito + Aged Armagnac
The Torpedo of the Chazaro line meets its natural counterpart in a 1990s or older Armagnac. Dried fruit, oak and the Don Tito's espresso finish merge into something greater than the sum.
Non-Alcoholic
Sparkling water with lime cleanses the palate between draws. Dark chocolate at 70% or higher amplifies the Habana's cocoa character. A double espresso stands up to the Black without competing.
How to Store Cigars in Dubai's Climate
The short answer: 65 to 70 percent relative humidity. 18 to 21 degrees Celsius. A properly sealed humidor with Boveda packs rated at 69%.
The longer answer: Dubai's climate is the enemy of unprotected cigars. Summer heat exceeding 45 degrees outdoors, combined with aggressive indoor air conditioning that drops humidity below 30%, creates extreme swings that crack wrappers, dry out filler and ruin flavour within days.
If you do not yet own a humidor, order from Chazaro with confidence. We store every cigar in climate-controlled conditions until the moment it is dispatched. Your cigar arrives in the same condition it left our hands.
If you do own a humidor and want guidance on maintaining it through the UAE summer, our concierge team is available at [email protected].
Delivery Across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and All Emirates
We deliver to:
Dubai (same-day available for select areas) Abu Dhabi Sharjah Ajman Ras Al Khaimah Fujairah Al Ain
All orders are packed in temperature-stable packaging designed for the UAE climate. In a market where heat degrades tobacco between warehouse and doorstep, how the cigar travels matters as much as how it was made.

All three use Negro de San Andrés wrapper tobacco from Veracruz, Mexico.
What are the Chazaro gift collections and prices? Four curated collections: Prelude (1 Habana, 1 Black, AED 300), Trilogía (1 Habana, 1 Black, 1 Don Tito, AED 600), Selección (2 Habana, 2 Black, 1 Don Tito, AED 900) and Reserva (4 Habana, 4 Black, 2 Don Tito, AED 1,750).
What makes Chazaro different from Cuban cigars? Chazaro uses Negro de San Andrés tobacco from Veracruz, Mexico, fermented for 36 months and aged 14 months post-roll. Where Cuban cigars tend toward earth and leather, Chazaro delivers dark chocolate, roasted coffee and black pepper with a natural sweetness unique to the volcanic soil of San Andrés Tuxtla.
Are Mexican cigars as good as Cuban cigars? San Andrés, Mexico, is one of the most respected tobacco regions in the world. Its wrapper leaf is used by cigar makers across the industry. Chazaro's extended fermentation (36 months) and post-roll ageing (14 months) produce a cigar that stands alongside the finest Cuban, Dominican and Nicaraguan offerings as its own tradition, not an imitation.
What is the best cigar for a beginner in the UAE? The Chazaro Habana. Its medium body, creamy profile and clean finish make it approachable without sacrificing complexity. The Prelude collection (AED 300) pairs it with a Black for a side-by-side comparison.
Do you offer corporate cigar gifts in Dubai? Yes. We work with executive assistants, procurement teams and C-suite professionals across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Collections range from Prelude (AED 300) to Reserva (AED 1,750) with personalised messaging, Arabic calligraphy and branded humidor packages. Contact [email protected].

How should I store cigars in Dubai's climate? Maintain your humidor at 65 to 70 percent relative humidity and 18 to 21 degrees Celsius. Use Boveda packs rated at 69% for the most stable environment. Dubai's extreme summer heat and indoor air conditioning create swings that can crack wrappers and dry out filler within days.

One Origin. Three Cigars. Forty-Eight Years.
Chazaro was not built to fill a shelf. It was built to fill a gap.
The gap between the cigar brands everyone already knows and the one they have not yet discovered. Between the convenience of buying what is available and the intention of choosing what is considered. Between five hundred labels that all taste like somewhere else and three cigars that taste like exactly where they are from.
If that distinction matters to your palate, we would like you to try a Habana and see for yourself.
